How did you find out about CrossFit? A bunch of my friends from
college were doing it
Did you play sports back in the day? Or was it all smoking butts under
the bleachers? I played a lot of sports growing up, mostly football,
How has CrossFit changed your life outside of the gym? I feel a lot
healthier, physically and mentally. I had to take a year off from the
gym after having back surgery so I try not to take anything for
What and/or who motivates/inspires you? Good question. I think every
day is different. Sometimes I can dig motivation from just being in a
good mood that day. Sometimes having a solid group of athletes working
out that day can give you the extra push.
Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve with the
gains made through CrossFit? Now that I’ve won member of the month I
definitely need to put more thought into goals… haha. But one goal
would be this upcoming fall, just keep a strict regiment of eating
healthy and attending the gym and see where that takes me.
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? House projects, hanging
with my wife, Nicole and our dogs. I also coach & play baseball.
What’s your favorite aspect of CFCA? Aside from all the nice people, I
love being able to throw weights on the ground.
CFCA favorite memory? Playing dodgeball in the gym
Any tips for the new members? If you’re new to lifting make sure you
learn the proper technique to avoid injuries.
