Which class do you usually attend? 5:30am, grinder
How did you find out about CrossFit? A friend told me about a
different CrossFit gym he went to and really enjoyed it. It sounded
like my type of workout, so I gave it a try and I turned out to be
Did you play sports back in the day? Or was it all smoking butts under
the bleachers? No butts! I played any sport I could growing up.
Football and basketball were my best.
How has CrossFit changed your life outside of the gym?
Crossfit has made me more fit. Now I am able to keep up with my highly
athletic kids and not let them run me into the ground. I also get
yelled at more by my wife for doing stupid shit that 42- year-old guys
shouldn’t be doing that result in bodily injury.
What and/or who motivates/inspires you? The fact that my clothes fit
better inspires me to keep going and become as fit as I can. The
extremely fit people that kick my ass in workouts inspire me to not
get my ass kicked anymore.
Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve with the
gains made through CrossFit?
I don’t want my body to hurt. I want to keep my body strong so I will
not need my hips replaced again any time soon.
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?
Golf, boating, fishing
What’s your favorite aspect of CFCA?
The sense of community working together to achieve the same goal and
having fun while doing it.
