How did you find out about CrossFit? My daughter does CrossFit in Beverly and recommended it.
Did you play sports back in the day? Baseball, Wrestling
How has CrossFit changed your life outside of the gym? Too numerous to mention. My family tells me I’m a better person when I’m working out so that’s the best kind of change.
What and/or who motivates/inspires you? I’m inspired by the everyday people at CFCA. The incredible group of young parents who are role models for how to be great moms and dads, members who are caring for their aging parents and the amazing transformations I see as people work hard to achieve their goals day in and day out.
Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve with the gains made through CrossFit? Staying healthy and active with my wife as we age.
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? Spending time with family. Enjoying outdoor activities (boating, concerts, snowboarding, movies, being Pop Pop to my 2-year old granddaughter). Anything and everything now that our children are grown.
What’s your favorite aspect of CFCA? The incredible diversity of the community. No matter who you are or where you are from there’s a spot for you here.
CFCA Favorite Memory? A few months ago (at a Saturday team workout) a little boy was reported missing around the gym. Everyone spread out, mid-workout to help find him. He was found quickly, and it reinforced to me what a terrific group of people we have here at CFCA.
Any tips for the new members? As someone who missed almost a year due to injury, take it from me and do not try to keep up with people half your age! Just keep showing up, do your best and forget the rest. The changes will be amazing.
