How long have you been Crossfitting? 4 months
Which class time do you usually attend? Depends…although I prefer the 6:30 am class
How did you find Crossfit? And how does Crossfit differ from your last gym or exercise routine? My good friend, Danny Vee. We grew up together and he kept telling me how much I would love Crossfit. Well, 5 years later. Here I am! My last exercise routine was pretty inconsistent. I dabbled with Pilates, running, yoga…pretty much everything but something was definitely missing.
What is your athletic background? I’ve been an athlete my entire life. I played Division 1 softball at Seton Hall University and was a three-sport athlete at Gloucester High.
How has Crossfit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness? Where do I start! I feel better about myself and I’m much more confident. I look at life differently and feel like I can accomplish anything if I try hard.
What motivates/inspires you? My son, Benjamin, motivates me on a daily basis. He has so much energy and is full of life. I love watching life through his eyes. I want him to have a healthy and active mother to look up to. Inspiration…easy. My 91-year-old grandmother, Helena. She is the epitome of inspirational. She has traveled the globe, raised five children, is a trained gourmet chef and (for the most part) is still 100% healthy. Wow!
Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through Crossfit. Just one?! Crossfit Level 1 certified. But that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Hobbies/Interests outside of Crossfit? Reading, cooking, hanging out at the beach.
What is your favorite cheat meal? Toss up. Homemade chocolate-chip cookies or Mudiga Steaks.
What’s your favorite aspect/part of CFCA? The team atmosphere and camaraderie. It’s like nothing else around.
Any advice for new members? Don’t compare yourself to other members. Push yourself hard and the results will come.
Have you met Pukie? Not yet. Thankfully. Although anytime I see burpees in the WOD, I get a little nervous.
