How long have you been Crossfitting? Almost 4 months
Which class time do you usually attend? 9am
How did you find Crossfit? My roomie Bethany twisted my arm until I came.
What is your athletic background? In high school I was on the x-c ski team for a couple years, and the track team for 1 year where I was a sprinter. I’m grateful for my time on the ski team b/c it prepared me for intense training and taught me about intervals and getting screamed at by your coaches :) But after high school I became pretty much a slacker. I realized that the only time I was really in shape was when I had a team behind me and a coach who kept me in line. With Crossfit I have that again.
How has Crossfit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness? Crossfit enables me to be better at other things. I have way more energy and my strength and endurance have increased SOO much it’s awesome.
What motivates/inspires you? Motivates: Bikini season- and just being strong and kicking *ss. Guys who run around with 75lb rucksacks on their backs all day in the desert serving our country inspire me. When I want to quit I think about them.
Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through Crossfit. I want to continue to get stronger, faster, fitter. One of my goals is to get my Crossfit Total to 500. I think it’ll happen.
Hobbies/Interests outside of Crossfit? Eating paleo? Does that count? Seems to take up a lot of my time.
What is your favorite cheat meal? Nachos from Wild Horse.
Any advice for new members? My advice would be to just embrace the whole experience and throw yourself into it 100%. Don’t be a wimp. And enjoy the community and the accountability.
Have you met Pukie? Not yet. But I think I have an abnormal immunity to puke.
